Fight Arena 20 x 40 m

The arena is demarcated by field lines and divided into two halves with a center line. If the barrel leaves the arena, the game is interrupted by the judges and thrown in by an opposing fighter. After each point, the game restarts at the center line.

The penalty time is 20 seconds and begins when the fighters reach the penalty zones. There are four time pillories on each of the long sides of the playing field. Fighters who are hit must go to the next penalty zone and raise their weapons and arms visibly. On arrival, you activate the shield, causing a red lantern to light up. After 20 seconds, the light goes out and the fighter continues playing. If all time pillories are occupied, you have to wait.

Zona Finale

A point is scored when Hector's “Botte de Vino” is at least halfway in the opponent's end zone. This zone measures 1 x 1 meter and is marked by Larp bricks.

Hector's „Botte di Vino“

To score a point for the team, the barrel must reach the opponent's goal. Only the Esploratori may touch, transport or throw the barrel. The Mazioliere can hit the barrel into the Zona Finale with the war hammer. No other player may touch or move the barrel with impunity. Should this happen, the fighter will be given a time out (20 sec).

Esploratori (Runner/Scout)

The Esploratore is the only one allowed to throw the barrel to get it into the Zona Finale faster or to keep it away from opponents. He may not throw or hold the barrel at opponents in order to cause penalties. The opposing Esploratori can snatch the barrel from him.

Hammerkämpfer

Mazuoliere (Hammer fighter)

The Mazzuoliere can move the barrel with his war hammer, similar to field hockey. He can score points by bringing the barrel into the end zone. He must ensure that his shots do not pose a danger to other players. Uncontrolled shots can lead to penalties by the head judge, ranging from a time penalty to disqualification.

The Esploratori and the Mazuoliere are crucial in the Hector Games as they score points by bringing the barrel into the opponent's end zone (goal). Their interactions are subject to clear rules that ensure fairness and safety, exclude physical violence and allow for strategic depth.

Physical force and violence

Forbidden actions:

- Standing on legs, tackling, jumping on, hitting, rough shoving, boxing
- Excessive use of physical force and unsportsmanlike conduct

In the event of prohibited actions, the judges will ensure that the player concerned leaves the field immediately for the time pillory or is disqualified in the event of a repeat offense.

Use of weapons/hits
A hit only counts if the weapon makes direct contact with the opponent's body. Head and neck hits are prohibited. Stabbing with weapons is not permitted. Hits must be scored with the fighting surface of the weapons.

Invalid hits:
- Hits to the head or neck are strictly forbidden
- Hits to the hands, feet and ankles are invalid
- Hits that only graze clothing or equipment do not count
- Light or accidental contact does not count as a hit
- If the weapon touches the ground and then the player, the hit does not count.

Valid hits:
Conscious attacking movement must be present
- Hits to the torso (chest, back, stomach, shoulder)
- Arms, wrists, legs and thighs
- If two players hit each other at the same time, both hits count

The scoring rules protect the players and guarantee a fair game. The judges decide on the validity of hits. A block with a weapon or shield does not count as a hit and is a legitimate defensive tactic.

Tower
The tower must first try to hit the powder chamber of the opposing tower with its 5 crossbow arrows. Then it can throw its bombardiers. If an arrow hits the powder chamber, the tower is disabled and deactivated. Bombardments hit all players that are touched. Before the throw, the tower player gives a signal to stop the game and all fighters stop immediately.

Tower rules:
- Leaving the tower during the game is prohibited
- Deliberately aiming the crossbow at players or judges is prohibited
- Throwing the bombardier max. 10 seconds after the signal - otherwise deactivated

Fighters/substitutes
Each team may use a maximum of 3 substitutes during interruptions. A change of character of the fighters is possible at any time at the time pillory outside the playing field.

Last Man Standing
If a team loses its last player at the time pillory, it is unable to act and the opponent receives one point.

Have fun!
